Lots of real good stuff!
The below was the big highlight of a QPM meetup in the Giesserei in Zürich organized by Modell Aachen I attended. Two IT leads at a Swiss manufacturing company with 170 employees and branches in Switzerland, Austria and the United States presented how they made a quick and full transformation of the way the company operates with an Interactive Management System (IMS) from Modell Aachen by Ariadne.
Having implemented the Q.wiki IMS at their previous employer they could quickly convince management of the benefits:
- faster onboarding of new employees
- transparency and simplification in processes
- overview of all process flows and connections
- full participation of all employees to preserve, share and optimize process and product knowledge
A few examples of clever adoption-quick wins at the implemenation:
Training: To speed up adoption, the team heads were trained on the platform by our IT duo to train their teams. This way there were not bottle necks in training manpower.
Adoption: Beside training, the IT guys took an use case exclusively available on Q.wiki to make be use and become familiar with the team. For a new ERP platform the training was made available only in Q.wiki
Simplification: Q.wiki is at the one hand consistent, ‘simple’ / user-friendly and intuive but also allows for deep customization. The company uses many parts with many small processes that are used in different project categories. To provide quick and transparent access to how a part works and is used, custom Part library was designed with all parts in a tabular matrix format with many graphical descriptions and instructions. The setup was leveraged from the process module including the approval workflow.
