Many organisations successfully implement a new quality and process management platform such as Q.wiki – often in the context of ISO certification, audits and process documentation, or for reasons of productivity and return on investment.
After a few years, however, a different picture might emerge:
- The discipline to maintain content, to implement process improvements exclusively within the system, and/or to carry out audits entirely within the system is steadily waning.
- Despite the original plan to do so, the potential of advanced features is still not being utilised (e.g. knowledge management, process design or simplification using AI, notifications).
- Plans to expand into other departments and user groups after the initial phase have somehow stalled.
Where several of these points – or even others – apply, the organisation has entered the ‘post-hype slump’ and there is scope for optimisation.
I am constantly exchanging views with various organisations on the developments mentioned above. If you would like to compare your experiences, I look forward to discussing this with you.
